We did a lot of apple picking in Autumn.

La Purisima Mission had a Candlelight Vigil in October that my husband Mitch and Tampa participated in with me.

We made a few trips to Monterey, where I grew up. The above picture is the back of the house that I grew up in *sniff*

These are the woods behind my old house and extension of my backyard. I was a very lucky girl growing up.

Tampa was introduced to the cello in music class. She took right to it.

She loves watercolors, these are a few of her paintings. This one is the Birthday Gnomes.

Rainbow Fairies

The table's pretty cluttered. We have a small house.

I forgot what this was called but we used it for our Michaelmas lantern below.

She had fun helping me make this.

Every Saturday morning we've been making blueberry pancakes. She gives me the correct measuring cup/spoon, I measure the ingredients, she sifts and stirs and cracks open eggs, dumps, etc.

She does a pretty good job at cracking eggs.

She takes cooking very seriously...

She needs a little practice on this... :O)

She wanted to be a wicked witch with a green face for Halloween. Next year she wants to be a ghost and the year after that a black cat.

I'm learning so much at the Mission. Here I am deworming sheep and trimming their nails.

We celebrated my birthday in November in Big Sur camping. It was wonderful, albeit cold.

She saw this gnome hat in Living Crafts and wanted me to make it for her in dark green. So after ordering the wool from Canada I knitted it for her. It was my first knit project.

She loves the woods.

We spent a weekend in Pismo, which was lovely. It's only 45 minutes away but it was nice to stay in a hotel and relax. Our hotel is in the background.

Tampa helped make Christmas cookies.

She enjoyed smashing the candy canes.

Winter Solstice was kind of rainy. Here's small little spiral that we made with boughs and a quartz rock candle holder in the center. She enjoyed it a lot.

Santa footprints!

All my sweet girl wanted was a jack in the box from Santa. We made and bought her a few other things, as well.

Christmas morning brunch waffles and custard.

We went on a nice hike near town. Tampa had a lot of fun in the hot springs.

Neat! I loved seeing snapshots of what you and your wonderful family have been up to! My 6-year old son says that he loves the music on your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, for the comment! I'm glad he likes the music, they're nice happy tunes!
ReplyDeleteHey Annemarie! It's been a while since you posted, but I enjoyed looking at this recap :D Tampa is just beautiful and you are leading such rich, full lives! Your gnome hat turned out so cute! And I LOVED the shot of Tampa in her Mission outfit praying - so sweet and timeless! Hope to see you one of these days!
