Busy Having Fun

It's been awhile since I've updated. We've been enjoying the rest of Spring and getting ready to enjoy our Summer. Tampa and I've been spending a lot of time at the Mission getting ready for the BIG day. SOS Day was on Saturday, June 20th as an effort to save our State Parks. Our California government is bankrupt because of their excesses and we citizens are the ones to suffer. The threatening of the closure of our state parks is nothing new it happened last year and we had to get a letter writing campaign together. It's very sad when the politician can get away with this unscathed.

Anyway, the Mission had a Mission Life Days on Saturday. I readied myself with Tampa in tow. I warped the loom with help from my mentor. It took us 3 days about 7 hours to do. It was extremely tedious but a lot of fun and learning. It was well worth it. I started weaving my first project on "my" loom at the Mission on Saturday. I'm making a poncho for a fellow docent and a shawl for myself.

Tampa and I have also been busy blueberry pickin', nature walkin', doing swim lessons, as well as dance lessons. We still do our daily circle-time and our daily lessons. I did take a break last week, which she didn't want. Even though our lessons are an hour or so a day, I do get a little weary sometimes. If it were up to Tampa, she'd want lessons every single day. As it is, we only do lessons 4 days a week. We are looking forward to a lot more fun and relaxation and of course, beach days! I hope everyone enjoys their Summer! I hope you enjoy the pictures, as well.

Fun, Fun, and More Fun
